With 2016 marking the Star Trek franchise's golden anniversary, there was much anticipation for the third film in the newly christened Kelvin Timeline.  Following the divisive reaction to Star Trek Into Darkness and the troubled production history leading up to its follow-up, Star Trek Beyond had a lot to overcome. We are happy to report, it succeeded with flying colors!
